Shafa’atu, an English (B.A) graduate is an independent journalist and founder of Flavours of Resilience (FR). Moved by seeing how regional insecurity stripped displaced women of their homes and livelihoods, Shafa’atu created FR to transform locally sourced Hausa spices—such as ‘yaji’, ‘dadawa’, kuli-kuli, and ‘goruba’ mix—into sustainable retail micro-franchise opportunities. Her cooperative model equips displaced women to retail premium spice products, replacing temporary humanitarian aid with dignified, self-sustaining economic independence. Self-described as quiet, smart, and determined, with a hidden talent for storytelling, Shafa’atu joins The Hustle Reality Show seeking mentorship, strategic knowledge, and partnerships to scale Flavours of Resilience into a movement empowering thousands of displaced women across Northern Nigeria.
